Our Heritage
A few words from the winemaker Jérémy Mourgues
I come from a long line of winegrowers whom have been cultivating vines with passion since the 18th century. I grew up in Landerrouat, a small village of Gironde about 80 km east of Bordeaux, located on the highest plateau of the area. From a young age, I can remember the conversations between my father and grandfather about the quality care to be given to the vineyards surrounding our home and the best practices to implement to grow high-quality grapes, necessary to winemaking.

When my parents took over the family estate, there were only 6 hectares of vines (15 acres), but through hard work and perseverance, they enlarged the estate considerably. Today, it covers around 400 hectares (990 acres) spread over 2 neighboring areas: Gironde and Lot-et-Garonne.
After my studies in wine and spirits, then completing business school, I decided to join the family business back in 2005. While pursuing my passion for winemaking, I found the other love of my life, Marilyne, my wife. We are now raising our two daughters, Heloise and Clarisse and hope they will continue the family tradition someday. Every day, I value the importance of being surrounded by the members of my family and how important their support is for me to push myself.
We are very connected to our land and our beautiful terroir. We work with enthusiasm and determination. I have embarked upon this adventure, with a committed team , who work every day to achieve the goal we have set for ourselves, which is to produce wines that you will appreciate, with respect for nature and the values I inherited from my parents and grandparents.
While tasting our wines, you will find the characteristics of the fabulous terroir on which I grew up, with meandering and undulating vines as well as landscapes with multiple attributes; from the first buds appearing, to promising grape clusters; from misty winter to sunny spring.
Discover our unique Chateaux and enjoy a rich sensory journey.
