The history of this family, winegrowers from fathers to sons since the 18th century, has experienced a resurgence, under the leadership of Angéline and Régis Mourgues, who took over the family estate in 1954, which at that time, was about 6 hectares (15 acres) wide.

A new generation decided to get involved: Patrick and his wife Joëlle joined them on the family adventure in 1978. Step by step, they considerably enlarged the estate, until their vineyard covered 180 hectares (445 acres), when Jérémy, their son, took over the family business in 2005, at the age of 25.

Jérémy was raised among the vines and inherited the family passion for wine growing and wine making from his parents and grandparents. After his studies in wines and spirits, followed by completing business school, he brings a contemporary vision to the family estate which has grown considerably over the years. From his marriage with his wife Marilyne, their two daughters were born, Heloise and Clarisse, who inspired the HECLA range.

Today, the family vineyard covers 395 hectares (976 acres), planted in the neighboring departments (areas) of Gironde and Lot-et-Garonne.
